Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the CyberTECT website collects, why it is used and the choices available to people who contact us.

Last updated: July 22, 2026

01

Scope

This policy applies to the CyberTECT website, its contact form, free interactive Control Checks and links used to book a consultation. A paid client engagement may involve additional information-handling terms in a proposal, agreement or other written scope.

02

Information the website may collect

Information you provide

The contact form asks for a name, organization, email address, optional telephone number, service interest and message. That information is sent to CyberTECT by email so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered. The form does not intentionally retain a separate copy in the WordPress website database.

Do not submit passwords, account recovery codes, confidential client files, health information, financial records or other sensitive records through the website.

Consultation booking

Booking buttons open CyberTECT’s public Google Calendar appointment-scheduling page. Information entered there is processed through Google’s service and is subject to Google’s privacy policy .

Free interactive Control Checks

The Digital Operations Control Check processes answers in the visitor’s browser. It does not ask for a name or email address, and CyberTECT does not transmit or store the selected answers through the Control Check.

Technical and hosting information

The website is hosted on WordPress.com. The hosting platform may process technical information such as an IP address, browser details, security events, logs and cookies required to operate, protect and maintain the service. More information is available in Automattic’s privacy notice .

CyberTECT may use aggregate website analytics when analytics are enabled. The site does not use Control Check answers to create advertising profiles.

03

How information is used

Information may be used to:

  • Review, answer and follow up on an enquiry.
  • Schedule and prepare for a requested consultation.
  • Determine whether CyberTECT can provide the requested service.
  • Protect the website, detect spam and investigate misuse.
  • Understand aggregate website use and improve content when analytics are enabled.
  • Maintain business, contractual and legal records where reasonably required.
04

Service providers and disclosure

CyberTECT does not sell or rent personal information submitted through the website. Information may be handled by service providers that support website hosting, email delivery, appointment scheduling, spam prevention or analytics. These providers process information under their own service terms and privacy practices.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably required to comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate misuse, or complete an authorized business transaction. CyberTECT limits disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for the purpose.

05

Retention and safeguards

Enquiry and booking information is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage a potential or active service relationship, maintain appropriate business records, or satisfy legal and contractual requirements. Information that is no longer required is deleted or securely disposed of according to the systems in which it is held.

CyberTECT uses administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and the service. No website, email system or online service can guarantee absolute security. Visitors should use the contact form only for an initial, non-confidential enquiry.

06

Your choices and requests

You may contact CyberTECT to ask what personal information is held about you, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or request deletion where the information is no longer required. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, contractual or record-keeping reasons.

Business enquiry forms are intended for adults authorized to contact CyberTECT. A parent or guardian may contact CyberTECT about information submitted by a minor.

07

External websites and policy changes

The website links to third-party websites and authoritative resources. CyberTECT does not control their content, security or privacy practices. This policy may be updated when the website, services or information-handling practices change. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.
